Default can palom & porom be cured of the petrification?

I haven't progessed that much in ff4 because I sorta got bored of it (but I did like game) and yeah....
when they get petrified you can press x on them and it will show you all your items to use on them possibly because you CAN heal them.
    so my question is:
    CAN THEY BE CURED???

    Umm... no...
If you're playing the SNES version, no item will do anything except "Dummy", which just says "D"

If your playing FFIV Advance... I would assume you could since they join your party at the end... but I would not know...

No. The item window only opens so you can try to use Golden Needles on them and get the "They're petrified of their own will" message.

    Yeah what he said

    Vaan - "Hey, you!"
Penelo - "Yeah, you! The one reading this sig at this very moment!"
Vaan - "Interested in playing FFXII International Zodiac Job system?"
Ashe - "But you have no knowledge of the Japanese language?"
    Fran - "....We could help...."
Balthier - "That's right, Fran! Just click on Crossblades' thread on the very bottom of this signature and it will show you all license grid translations, magicks and tecks locations, and other changes that were made!"
Basch - "Don't forget though. Swap Magic is needed to play this game if you don't own a japanese PS2."
Vaan - "Also remember that if you played the original, you'll have an easier time playing the international version. We hope you enjoy the International Zodiac Job System experience. See ya then!"

But what if you get 99 porno magazines and then use them all on Rydia while you're standing in the room with their statues? Doesn't it give you a "super soft" that will cure them if you use it 255 times on each of them? This guy at EB Games totally said it would.

If you are playing FFIV Advance, you will be able to get them back after visiting the moon.

I believe much later in the game that (SPOILER) the Mysidian Elder cures them of their petrification, and you see them on one of the airships that attacks the Giant of Babel.

Which defeats the purpose of self-sacrifice for a greater cause, rendering anything you felt for their death pointless.

Chalk one more up on the "I killed them and brought them back on a whim" board.

That seems to be a reoccuring theme in FF4. I can think of...seven characters who at some point are supposed to be dead but aren't really.
There is no signature here. Move along.
