you cannot obtain holy in the game... its only purpose is for the plot

You need it to revive Aeris. Dig at the excavation site.
im pretty sure that u can get it. i got it the first time that i played the game,it takes about 90 - 100MP. also when u use 'sense' on a fiend it sometimes says that it weak against holy.
Fiend? are you sure your not talking about FF10 or 10-2?

wel watever there called,monsters,fiends,enemies etc.
There is no Holy materia in FFVII. The only Holy elemental spell is the Alexander summon.
ok fine then i must be thinking of another game,but i could've sworn that it is possible to get it in VII.im pretty sure that i got it last time.
