What exactly are we looking for? Where in the riddle does it tell you?
I'll figure it out later...
The riddle:
"Lo and behold",
Ol' Laguna says to Ellone.
"If I were you,
I'd give in for my age
in a previous world,
without Elle."
It's not time compression. And a part of the riddle (not the answer) is a teeny bit related to time, but not in an obvious way. :rolleyes2Originally Posted by snakebyte91
The first part is a clue to find the answer, but you have to figure the first part out by figuring the second part out which is referring to the first partOriginally Posted by Lenna
Wrong guesses:
Raine
Squall
Edea
Dr. Odine
Time compression
Laguna card
Junction machine Ellone
The player
Youth
Hints:
The answer is not a person.
The answer is not an obtainable item.

"Lo and behold",
Ol' Laguna says to Ellone.
"If I were you,
I'd give in for my age
in a previous world,
without Elle."
Is it the Laguna card?
Lo and behold laguna says could be a way of his greeting even without words you can greet them with a look, and she would have got his card from somewhere and kept it.
There is no other way to get the card, without Elle there is no card, you may not even know it's there.
I'll figure it out later...
Nope, not the Laguna card. Think about connections in the riddle![]()
Does it have to do with Laguna's love for Ellone and wishing to give all his years just to be her, to see the things she has instead of living all those years trying to find her?
I know I am probobly wrong...someone's probobly guessed that one before.

Nope, sorry.
"Lo and behold", (A greeting, perhaps.)
Ol' Laguna says to Ellone. (What the--! Laguna's a grandpa?!)
"If I were you, (Dunno)
I'd give in for my age (Dunno)
in a previous world, (Dunno)
without Elle." (Dunno)
I'm not guessing the answer, but I have a question for Rantzien.
Is the answer an object which can be OBTAINED in the game? I'm meaning magazines, cards, potions, blah.

The Junction Machine Ellone
Thank you Hysterian!
Nope
Question the riddle, and as I said before, look for internal connections. If you don't you won't get anywhere.
"Lo and behold",
Ol' Laguna says to Ellone.
"If I were you,
I'd give in for my age
in a previous world,
wIthout Elle."
Is it the player by any chance?
when looking at this riddle, the first part refers to the storyline I believe, we see this. The whole previous world thing gives me the impression that it's our own world. As the game has Elle in it all over the place, but in our world, she doesn't really exist. Or it could be our way of thinking, "If I were you" if the player was laguna, he would have given up, as what we see, seems to be practically impossible to do in our world, we dont have the strength or determination to do all that laguna did, not to mention it's a make-believe world.
I dunno though. There doesn't seem to be any visible connection that's the problem, the whole riddle just doesn't make sense. The fact that it's in quotes concludes that it was said, or thought to oneself.
The answer is not a person.
The answer is not an obtainable item.
that leaves only places, metaphorical connections outwith the game, or enemies. And enemies don't make sense because they don't speak unless they are a person.
Any chance of another hint?
I'll figure it out later...
