You say we must look for connections within the riddle beforeeven trying to figure out the answer and connecting THAT to the riddle, should we be looking at the 2 sections of the riddle as if they have no connection with eachother? like, should we read them as if they are 2 separate quotes and not try and connect the 2 parts together?

Look for connections throughout the WHOLE riddle. When your finished "solving" the riddle you can find out the answer by reading the first part.

New hint: The second part is directed at you, yes you. You being a riddle solver.

So is it something to do with reality? I mean OUR reality. I only ask this because you say about 'you' refering to 'us' as the riddle answerers.

No other real world references than the "you".

I know you said 'you being a riddle solver' but is it also as you/us being a player? In which case id guess at a previous world being before we'd played the game.

And purely because I feel I must make a random guess I'm going to say the opening movie sequence.

    Second Character: paine
    Third Character: squall

    Which FF Character Are You?

Nope, only the riddle solving part of you.

And purely because I feel I must make a random guess I'm going to say the opening movie sequence.
    No, wrong.

The answer is not abstract. But don't focus on that for the time being, focus on figuring the riddle out with the help of the non-answer-related hints.

They're the last key to find the answer but for that to happen you must figure out the "secret" of the second part. It will lead you to the first part which, with the key found in the second part, gives you a good clue on how to find out the answer.

    EDIT: is it iguion?
    Nope

No, it's not an event (I count that as abstract), but let's not play the eliminating game here. As I've said many times now, focus on the riddle, not the answer.

This is just me getting frustrated, ive been looking over the entire thread for a while and decided to join for this riddle alone and maybe more... but i dont expect you to say ur right or wrong i just wanna say my thoughts... it's come to the point where i read "a world without elle" and say to myself "ok what happens when you eliminate ellone from the first part... like im beggining to think its one of those riddles where the answer to the first part is right in front of uss and rantzien is just getting a luagh because we'll belike "omg why the hell didnt i see that"...im beggining to think the second part is almost instructions for the first part... sorry for a post so big but i like thinking out loud sometimes...and hoping its right lol

No problem with big posts, it's fun to read. But when I made this riddle it was knowing it was going to be hard, so I don't think you suck or anything just because you can't find it out in the first turn

But you're on the right track, the second part kind of IS instructions for the first part, but it's not EXACTLY right in front of you.

I know hard riddles are kind of irritating, some people were getting very annoyed at my previous riddle (in the FF9 Riddles thread) because of it's difficulty, but with a lot of input on the riddle I could give a lot of output and it was eventually solved. So give me input and I'll give you output and you'll eventually be rid of this riddle
