Shielded from the light? So the answer lives (or resides) in a place shielded from the light, maybe underground, in a dark spot, a generally dark building or something. Or maybe shielded from a specific light source, as the one in Deep Sea Research Center? Could of course also be metaphoric, the light being knowledge or "the ultimate insight" or the truth or whatever. Shielded from truth/insight/knowledge could be someone living a lie for example. Also, Bahamut says when you defeat him: "Have you seen the light?". Just a thought.

I can taste the victory.
Implies that the answer is evil. As evil grows, the answer feels mightier? Thinks it's going to win? Close to a battle? The enemies that that the party fights might grow stronger the closer the party gets to the answer.

Find me near the Puny Castle,
A puny castle? Does the capitalization matter? If so, it might be a name that is "rewritten", for example if a place was called Fort petit (small castle in french) it could be described like this. It could also be referring to a model or miniature of a castle, in which case the paintings in Ultimecia's castle would fit, but as you already denied that, we'll have to search somewhere else.

Joining Rudolph in the pit of loneliness.
Rudolph as in "Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer"? This feels like an external reference, but it could also be someone or something in the game that resembles Rudolph TRNR. Of course it could simply be referring to Rudolph's loneliness, but I have a feeling there's more than that to it.
The pit of loneliness could be a symbolic or a literal pit.

I have a couple of guesses, they all feel a bit obvious though. Oh well, I'll guess anyway. Ultima weapon or Bahamut?
