What's Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories about? I have it sitting here right in front of me, but I don't know if I should play it or not. Opinions?

you probably should, it is a connector between the first and the second games, but all the information of it can be found in the KH2 Other Ansem Reports

If nothing else, its great for long trips. I was surprised at how good the graphics were for a portable game though. I think I just got annoyed because your deck of cards always runs out at a bad time (bad at strategy here...)

I really wanted to get through it so I could understand the story... but I just hated the battle system far too much.

I personally liked most of the game, but there were 2 glaring things I dind't like.

1 - having to live with Randomness of the cards you get. I couldn't for the life of me get good cards. I'd spend all my MP on them, get crap, reload, spend again, never to get anythign good. I'd rather spend 10 times the cost and KNOW I'm getting something good. You could play forever and never be uber strong and that sucks.

2 - By the time Riku's story came around the game was starting to get manotomous. They needed some side games or somethign to spice it up.

    Other than that - OK!
I'm not in this world to live up to your expectations and you're not in this world to live up to mine.

I liked it. It was interesting, and once you started to get decent cards making a deck actually became interesting and fun. It wasn't until my third time playing that I even got the Stop card. But I thought it had an interesting story on both accounts.

I liked the NEW storyline. Although everything else in the game was just a waste of time. I could have been having fun during that time! Battle system = horrific, Recap of every world in KH1 = completely pointless.

Wait, the intro in KH2 sums up everything that happened in KH:CoM. . . I guess the whole game was a waste of time then!

No, it just shows it in pretty FMV graphics for a couple minutes. You actually find out stuff in CoM about the game.

It hardly sums up the entire game. The intro to KH2 basically shows the beginning and end of CoM, and nothing that happens in the middle.
