Anything above 115dB can cause hearing loss, so as long as you keep it below you should be fine. I crank my mp3 player all the way up (103dB) all the time.

The best music can be enjoyed when it's soft. I don't like my music loud.

Anything sustained over 90 dB for a few hours can slowly cause hearing loss as well.

I do like to go very loud occasionally...like when listening to a great song in the car.

    EDIT: Here's a good reference:

Medium for the most part, but when I go to sleep I put it on very low and when I'm in another room I like it very loud. Usually I'm sitting right next to the speakers though so I don't need a high volume.

I play my music loud, but not loud enough to damage my ears. My hearing is good, and I want to keep it that way.

Good music should be played loud, and bad music shouldn't be played at all.

My CD player goes up to fifty, and I listen to pretty much everything at thirty. It's loud, but not unecessarily so.
