The characters, even the dialogue, were/was a lot deeper in KOTOR 2. And you didn't have just one romance option like in KOTOR 1, you could have up to three. I loved both games tremendously. But they were very different. KOTOR 2 had a broader scope and a bit slower and more foreboading, it fit it quite nicely I think. KOTOR 1 was the embodiment of everything wonderful about the original movies. Epic and adventurous with wonderful plot twists. But KOTOR 2 has the edge for more detailed and in depth characters. Depending on how you play Kreia can seem almost like a badass mother. She was pretty awesome. I fashioned my character after myself to a degree. And when Visas Marr was professing her love for me, I actually blushed. That's how awesome and realistic the voice acting and characterization was. And I seriously felt afraid that she would die. I'm gonna give it to KOTOR 2, but depending on your preference it can go either or. They're both truely awesome games. But I have to admit KOTOR 2's beginning is way slower and doesn't quite draw you in as much. But once you get past that and things start rolling, I couldn't stop. I just loved how everything felt so foreboding.
