Thread: Moogles In FF where are they?

  1. #1

Default Moogles In FF where are they?

Out of all the FFs I've played which are IV, VII. VIII, iX, X, and X-2, I have only seen moogles in FFiX? I mean where are they? I though this was a FF tradition kind of like Cid. IX was my 1st and when someone told me about moogles in other FFs I expected to see them but I don't. Can someone please tell me if there are any moogles in any other FFs besides IX?!

VII has a moogle game in Gold Saucer as well as moogle riding the chocobo summon. VIII has a moogle mini-game only available through pocket station.

V has a whole bunch of moogles you meet up with. VI has a moogle as a party member.

    IV, X and X-2 doesn't have any

    Choco/Mog summon is in VII

Never played VIII so I wouldn't know

III, V, and VI has moogles

    Vaan - "Hey, you!"
Penelo - "Yeah, you! The one reading this sig at this very moment!"
Vaan - "Interested in playing FFXII International Zodiac Job system?"
Ashe - "But you have no knowledge of the Japanese language?"
    Fran - "....We could help...."
Balthier - "That's right, Fran! Just click on Crossblades' thread on the very bottom of this signature and it will show you all license grid translations, magicks and tecks locations, and other changes that were made!"
Basch - "Don't forget though. Swap Magic is needed to play this game if you don't own a japanese PS2."
Vaan - "Also remember that if you played the original, you'll have an easier time playing the international version. We hope you enjoy the International Zodiac Job System experience. See ya then!"

that summon doesn't count and Lulu's weapon doesn't either. they weren't real or you couldn't sppeak with them so i count it as they're not there.

Um, yes they do count. It's a moogle reference, just as Cid is not always a playable character.

If you want to nitpick it to death, feel free.

Naw it doesn't Cid is still at least a character in each of them and stands by tradition and besides, I've only seen a playable Cid, in VII and IV.

You can get your moogle fix in FF6. But yeah, they're not really a staple like Cid and Chocobos. Just like the Crystals are a FF icon but you don't see much about them.

They are referenced in one way or another in all the FFs mentioned....and yes, Lulu's puppet and the summon Choco/mog DO count.

On of the dresspheres in X-2 (mascot) is a moogle outfit for yuna, the same one she wears in the Luca mission.

They're also a character class in FFTA, and they're in FF:CC
I think they have been at least referenced in every game since 3... well maybe not 4, but all the others....
    Chocobos since 2...
