I thought many of the female models were stupidly skinny and out-of-proportion, but then again they were probably based on Japanese actors who are most likely like reeds. Of course this thinking doesn't apply to Quistis, who is so right that anything placed close to her looks wrong by comparison.

They looked better than in 9. Im not talking about proportioned, because they made the super-deformed thing in IX on purpose. Im talking about the characters can stand in one spot, and the pixels move and bounce all over the place. I think they did tht to simulate that the characters are breathing. Bad idea...it jes looks weird...

They were all skinny(except for Ward,of course),but the design was OK.

I thought that proportionally the characters in FFVIII were great, even if there were a few moments of legs becoming 4 pixels wide.
When I first played I really did think they were far too thin, specially Rinoa. But maybe the less pixels or whatever used makes it easier?

Way too skinny, but keep in mind it's the graphics too, they're aren't as good as FFX.
I thought they were just right, but Cloud from FF7 is wicked skinny especially his arms.
