Thread: Are there any albums you consider "perfect?"

Default Are there any albums you consider "perfect?"

I have very few albums, that I could ever consider perfect, and while I do give a good amount of albums 10/10, very little of them ever are flawless.

The three albums I find to be 100% amazing, are:

Pain of Salvation - The Perfect Element
    Tiamat - Wildhoney
    Solefald - In Harmonia Universali

So, what are your perfect albums.

It's very rare to come across an album without any flaws at all. But I'd have to say that Grace's 1985 audiobiographical, Slave to the Rhythm, is near perfection. The album is actually one song split in 8 pieces, and each piece builds on the original song. Between the bits, there are interview cuts about Grace's career and life and the occasional craziness from Grace's side. Overall, Slave to the Rhythm is a mix between: high fashion, opera, rock, r'n'b, soul and sex.

There is no such thing as perfection, but the following albums come pretty close:

    Janus - Schlafende Hunde
Therion - Secret of the Runes
    Orphaned Land - Mabool

I've encountered a select few albums that have attained the rank of "flawless". Hmm....

Faith No More's "The Real Thing" is close to nirvana IMO. The Smiths "Meat Is Murder" is another one that's practically flawless, save for the preachiness of the title song.

Wish You Were Here would be perfect if not for Welcome to the Machine.

Oh no you didn't. WttM features Rick Wright's strongest keyboarding on any song, I'd say.
