The phrase "this a life or death situation" would of fit in your post, except it would of been more like "LIFE OR DEATH SITUATION." They're both wondeful games, I probably prefer FFIX, but not by much and I haven't beaten Chrono Cross yet, I just became Lynx.

Edit: And you should offer cookies to people who cooperate.

I haven't played CC yet, but IX was all right. I just couldn't finish it for some reason.

But there are better games out there.

Both games were great, but I enjoyed Final Fantasy IX more-so.

Despite what many think about it, it was a brilliant game.

If you're looking for a deeper plot, CC. If you're looking for a game to appeal to your emotional side, pick FFIX. It's that simple (I guess).

Personally, I didn't really like IX as much as VII or X, but it was a good game. I guess I just didn't like Zidane all that much (please don't kill me).

Chrono Cross...I haven't really played through it all, but from what I've seen, it's certainly up there in the charts. If you enjoyed Chrono Trigger, then you should take a look at Cross.

So, I guess it just comes down to what you're looking for, like Dark Dragon Knight said.

thanks to everyone who were so helpful.. but just to straighten things out, i'm not looking for these games anymore.. i've seen, played and beat both games and i agree with maxx power. however i'm not doing this on my account; its just a survey that i really need. so once again, thanks! by the way, anyone else who still has their say on this matter, feel free to post a reply.
