Don't bother with Aeons. Their special attacks are the only attacks that do damage, and they all have the world's WORST cooldown rates. (Pain makes you lose nearly 2.5 turns).

And yes, any Aeon that's not Ixion has crappy MDef until they all have 255. Even then, by that point, your magic should start damaging it effectively.

Jumbo Flan has alot of HP, and the best way to kill it is Doublecasting Flare off a reflected Character (The Flan has reflect auto-cast on it). Or doublecast Ultima (which ignores reflect). It is helpful if your characters have One MP cost, and Magic Booster. The problem is that magic (even Ultima) will not always do 99999, so don't expect an overkill anytime soon. Don't forget Hastega and Auto-Life.

You must have all of the Original Creations. I don't remember having to beat them before facing Nemesis, but you must have them. You need at least 150 in all stats except Luck if you wish to face Nemesis and live.

And Anima (most of the Aeons for that matter) will lose against most of the Area/Species creations, because they like to be cheap and have auto-kill Aeon attacks.

Don't forget to scroll right in the Original Creations screen. Nemesis gets his own screen.

Shooting Star causes Eject. Eject does not work on ANY of the Arena Creations. (it also defeats the purpose of the Arena, you WANT to fight the monsters, if you Eject, it does not give EXP or items for that monster)

And if you are actually referring to Banishing Blade, if it says "immune" to using the normal Breaks, then Banishing Blade will not work. (only deals damage)

Immunity works like this, for all them Status newbs.

Let's say I'm fighting a flan. If Auron used Armor Break, then the Flan's armor should be low enough for other characters like Tidus to attack normally. If it did not work, but no words popped up, then it did not work, but it does not mean that the monster has immunity. If it did not work, and the words IMMUNE appeared as the attack commenced, then the Armor Break will NEVER inflict Armor-Down.

Banishing Blade will only deal the four status-downs IF AND ONLY IF the words IMMUNE do not appear. If you used Banishing Blade, and the words IMMUNE popped up, then the monster is immune to all four status-downs. If not, then it is weak to at least one of them.

The success rate of Banishing Blade is 100%, so if the Flan is NOT IMMUNE to Armor-Break, then Armor Break WILL WORK GUARANTEED. Otherwise, it will not inflict Armor-down. A bonus for all the overdrive newbs is that if an enemy is immune to at least one ailment, then the damage of Banishing Blade is increased proportionally.
