Though did he stay with tantalaus and remain a thief or did he stay with Dagger and become prince/king? what do you think?
i bet he stayed with dagger and tantalaus proably travled between lindenblum (however you spell it) and alexandria

Tantalus probaly found him and he was with them until the play wnet on again after some time(Garnet's hair grew back so it had to be some amount of time)

Kuja mustered all his remaining powers and blasted them out of danger.Kuja died,Zidane buried him somewhere,and went to lindblum with the help of the black mages(they can teleport)and back to tantalus.And then is the play and the emding.
I just assumed they used Brahne's escape pod to get back.
EDIT: I think the better question is how Zidane and Tantalus and everone got back to Alexandria so fast from Lindblum.
