I read the manga right now so I would say...Ling as of right now. Quite and interesting guy...and hilarious. Wrath(Pride in the Anime) is also interesting.
Scar is still rockin on in the Manga and he still kicks all sorts of ass.
Scar just rocks simple and clear.You get the point of view in the anime that he cant be beat,no scratch that, more like it seems he cant be Challanged.
The humercula are ok I like lust to
Roy Mustang's my favorite. I also like Ed and Winry, but they aren't as cool as Roy. ^_^

Ed 'cause sometimes he can get serious but mostly he's the comic relief - especially when he can hear people referring to him as short while sleeping/from a distance.
How could you forget Gluttony??? That dude is awesome, but if I had to choose one of the other ones from the list, it would prob be Scar. The episode where he blew up the guy's head was just awesome

Envy, Lust and Gluttony are aweasome as well. My friends were grossed out by Gluttony, but I found it cool how he was so loyal to Lust.
I haven't re-watched more episodes of FMA in a while now. It has too many enjoyable characters. Maybe I should list the characters I didn't like. The chimeras freaked me out. I don't really want to sound cliche by listing all the "true faces of evil" as the characters I didn't like. But in this series even the "bad" ones had likable characteristics.

Hughes was the only likable character in the whole show, so of course they scrapped him.

Toss-up between Maes Hughes and Roy Mustang, but I'll go with Roy because I love his image song.
Of course I love Hughes' image song too. They're both great.
Yes! I live for Armstrong's twinkles. Any time I see him in the beginning of an episode, I get all kinds of excited.
And I love, love, love Hughes, and then they broke my heart.
EDIT: I like Al, too. Ed is great, but I like Al better, I think.
