It, yet again, is cited as being a quote from the same analysts in the previous articles.
You've got to be out of your head or just looking for a reason to bash Sony (and I'm willing to bet money on the latter), if you think they'll release it for $900.

Sony will make sure the price range stays in the ballpark of the 360 and the Revolution in order to stand a chance in the market. They know what they're doing.
Uh... Microsoft and Sony always lose money on their consoles starting off. A manufacturing cost of $500+ is not unreasonable. However, if Sony wishes to sell their new console and get any money from licensing fees they know it's smart to price it around the same cost as the 360. It will NOT be more than $500.
It also seems dubious that the PS3 would be pushed back to 2007 if Sony wishes to compete with Microsoft and Nintendo. This is just wild speculation from a source that has no more information about the future than we do.
That reminds me, does anybody have the wikipedia pages showing the three consoles' predicted title lineup?
