Sony will make sure the price range stays in the ballpark of the 360 and the Revolution in order to stand a chance in the market. They know what they're doing.

According to that article Microsoft is losing $300+ on each 360 sold. So yeah, Sony will also be taking a big hit for each PS3 sold. And $900 isn't even an official amount.

That's not the point, Joel. The point is that the XBox costs a massive amount to make, yet Microsoft takes a huge hit in order for people to be able to afford it. It will be the same thing with the PS3.
