10! It deserves 10! I gave a 10!
I gave it an 8 out of 10 because of some bad voice acting, by which i mean anything said by Yuna.
Now for some words of wisdom:
Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else.....hmmm wait just a minute.
Everyone makes mistakes. The trick is to make mistakes when nobody is looking

No, actually FFX is one of my favorite games in the series. I gave it one out of ten because I knew what the reaction would be.Originally Posted by The Lone Forest Ranger

Rite, so you did it to piss him off. I personally don't care that you voted 1 (in fact I thought it made it a more realistic poll at first cos it had a variety of viewpoints), but there's no need to be deliberately antagonistic.Originally Posted by The Devourer Of Worlds
I give it 9, I love the Sphere Grid system and the storyline is good, but, as look_out_below says, some of the voice-overs are not brilliant...
It proves a point though. It's all well and good to give a game a ridiculously high score like 10/10, yet when someone gives a game a ridiculously bad score everyone is pissed?Originally Posted by profskett

I'd Give It a 9, it was a great game, I loved the music, characters, locations, story. But the linear trek you go through was a thwack on the back it was. If it kept the world map, it would be one of my favourite FF's, but no, its not...

There was nothing I could add, nor anything I could take away. Perfect.
What makes this game better than all of the PSX games is that the characters talk. That's a big difference. The PSX games were just as good for their day, But voices make this game more enjoyable!
Judging against just the other FF's and not video games as a whole, I'd give it a 7/10. Great things: The story is one of the most creative and most engaging FF stories, the writing is very good compared to other FF's, the graphics are wonderful, the sphere grid is addictive and delightful. Bad things: Spotty voice acting (Auron is exceptional and Tidus is horrible), not normal world map, wierd uncontrollable airship, no atb, the equipment is limiting and uncreative because each character has his/her exclusive equipment.
It has it's bad points, but the wonderful story makes up for them in my opinion. (Again compared to FF stories- it ain't exactly Tolkien but it beats the lame-o stories of some other FF's.)
Now tell that to the people who spent over 100 hours trying to get each characters ultimate weapons, maxed out everyone's stats, got every hidden aeon, and depending on version, beat the dark aeons and penance.Originally Posted by pyr0 JnY

plus other numerous side-quests I forgot to mention...
I'm not through with it yet, the only things I have to complain about it are what others had to say, pretty linear travel-wise, (no world-map and non-free airship as a result.), and very bad voice-acting, except for some characters. Or maybe Tidus is just that annoying...
Good points: music, graphics, one of the more strategic ffs (you get to think about what you do in battle in this game:P), and a very colorful story and world.
9/10
