I loved the fact he was in part 5 as a hidden boss than in part 6 as a hidden playable character. Complete awesomeness!

Besides Gogo, just about everyone in FF 4 and 6 are my favorites.

FFVI- Sabin is the best FF character period.
FFVII- Cid was cool. I woulda said Cloud, but he didnt take advantage of Tifa liking him
FFVIII- I dont really like FFVIII, but Zell is like Sabin (but no where near as cool).
FFIX- Zidane was a really great character.
FFX- Auron. Enough said.
