Gimmicks
I was walking back from town the other day, and I was thinking about stuff. And I got to thinking that somethings become fads quite quickly. And almost as quickly as they become fads people start getting annoyed by them. Have you ever participated in a fad? Ever started to hate one when it became obvious the horse was starting to be flogged?
There is no signature here. Move along.
From the ages of seven to thirteen, all I did was follow popular fads, because liking the same thing as everyone else in the playground was fun, and popular things (Pokemon cards, Pogs etc.) were cool. From thirteen onwards all I've done is complain about popular fads, because being a lonely, cyncial bastard who stubbornly refuses to enjoy himself gives you a smug sense of superiority. And of course, anything popular as as uncool as you can get.

Some people can't help being trailblazers
fads help me to avoid evolving as a human being.
I like the fad of hating fads, myself.
I like the fad of ignoring fads all together then one day sell all the old merchandise on ebay when those old fads from 4 years ago come back into fashion.
LET THE HAMMER FALL
Their have been many a fad in my city. Long hair(i'm guilty here),Prep clothes(sigh...guilty), and like everything else. Also, i'm going to our citys Heritage Festivel in spring week. Bunch of rides and other stuff, i'm risking my awesome hair getting shaved off by highschoolers. I like to take risks.
