    I agree that Yuffie is not a hero/heroine; however, I don't think that the hero/heroine necessarily has to be the main "good guy" in the story. Take Star Wars, for example. Luke doesn't defeat the Emperor. Do most people call Darth Vader a hero? They probably should... I can't really think of any games to back me up on this right now, but I'm sure there are some out there.

    Kratos from God of War, Link from Legend of Zelda, the guy you play as in Shadow of the Colossus, Cloud from FFVII, The Bard from The Bard's Tale, and Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid.

    I like a lot of other heroes but those are by far the deepest, most interesting and/or totally badass and/or classically vailant that I can remember and the Bard is just an awesome wiseass.
