    I hope you've run the configuration-utility, hmm? What graphics card are you using/have you set in the config? Sound card? I've run it on XP myself (I won't swear on it, but I'm not sure I had the XP-patch at the time - I might very well be wrong as I revel in the mere thought of seeing my Voodoo 2 at work these days), and I don't believe I had that problem.
    Have you installed the XP-patch as recommended? I don't remember the exact instructions, but I have a feeling there was some patching involved before you could XP-ise it.
