5-1 v Fulham, awesome. Not least because Fowler, Crouch and Morientes scored! (And Stephen Warnock, who scored his first goal for us.)

West Ham v Bolton goes to extra time, while Middlesbrough cling on v Roma.

5-1? Wow. Last time I heard it was 2-1.

It's good though because I quite like Liverpool. Except on Sunday when I will dislike them for the day.

I'm watching the West ham vs Bolton match. West ham just scored.

'boro are though, and I think that's the furthest an English team has gone in the UEFA Cup since we won it in 2001.

I guess I want West Ham to beat Bolton, but I'd like it to go to penalties. I love shootouts when I'm a neutral, although during the last one I saw I was definitely not a neutral. (I won't mention THAT match again )

Damn. I wish there was an outcome to this match that saw both teams go out. Perhaps an all-out fistfight between Pardew and Sam? Please?

P.S. Oh yeah, last season's FA Cup shootout was awesome.

Oh yes! Boro are through. I've just been listening to it on local radio and being super nervous. Talk about clinging on! Thankfully Schwarzer made some top drawer saves.

Boateng and young Cattermole (17 and playing against Roma!) are suspended for the quarter final, though.

Those bloody smoggies better win, North East pride!... I just had to say that, hehehehe.
My dad used to be a West Ham supporter, I nearly suffocated laughing the day I found out.

    His son, probably.

Grrr. I wanted a draw. Dumb own goal -- Jaskelainen is usually a god in his own rights. Middlesbrough have to be the best team ever. xD They lose 7 - 0 to us, then beat Chelsea 3 - 0. How can one not love them? I hope they get the UEFa, especially after all those stabbing incidents.

All North East teams are like that, they get owned and then own a big team next match, unless it's sunderland. then it's get owned, then owned again and again til you go back down to the deep damp hole from where they came aka the championship.

Your theory will be tested on Sunday when we play Liverpool, Bladen.

I've dug another hole for you Jess, incase we lose into hiding we must go! Liverpool are too underestimated but a very vicious team to play, they're very aggressive when attacking, that's there strength but the problem is it can lead to players being sent off if it gets any more violent.

Newcastle fans lecturing people about violence? Have we all forgotten the Bowyer and Dyer comedy act of last season?

Liverpool have only had two sendings off this season, and the FA as good as admitted the second one was a mistake. The only Liverpool player likely to get sent off fairly is the sublime Momo Sissoko, and he's currently injured. Interestingly enough, our mini-slump began as soon as he got injured. Coincidence? Hmm.
