Oh, I'm sure I woulda found some other game to latch on to. But without Final Fantasy there would be no EoFF and without EoFF I wouldn't have met Del Murder and that would have been a real tragedy.

It amuses me that there are posts with people claiming that they'd have some void or that they'd be really bored. I'm sure there would be other things that would take the focus of one's obsessions.

Honestly, it's never been a HUGE obsession, so it wouldn't be that different. It would just be replaced by something else.

Yes. I made a friend of mine one about a year ago. Actually, I gave him a rather bad first example (X-2). Nevertheless, he fell in love with it (and Paine...0_o), and I introduced him to the bigger and better ones.
