    Default Kurt Vonnegut

So, yesterday, I had the fortunate experience to sit in on a massive lecture from the famous Kurt Vonnegut, author of many books. Most notably: Slaughterhouse Five.

The man is hillarious. However, with all his hillarity, he has a horrible outlook, yet half-realistic anihilist view of the world - that it is ending and soon we will all die. It was a very insightful lecture and, while his position was bleak, he managed to somehow leave me, and a few of my friends, in a very positive outlook for life. He claims that anytime you can say, "This is nice", during a situation or event, no matter how minor, that we should relish in it and try to find as many situations that make us feel the same.

So, have you ever heard him, or any other revolutionary genius speak?

Slaughterhouse five is one of my favorite books. I'm currently reading it for the fifth time.

I've only read Harrison Bergeron, for years i've been meaning to read more of his works. Unfortunately i've never gotten around to it.
