wait, what about Areath from kh, is she the same person as Aeris from ff7 or what?? this has been confusing me 4 ages

As you will notice, the KH worlds and the worlds of Final Fantasy do not co-exist, rather they are alternate realities from one another.

I believe also that the FF characters are much younger in KH than they are in FF games.

Yeah I'm not surprised she's in there her, Yuffie, Cid, and Leon are rebuilding their homeworld Hollow Bastion which I believe acts as a home base much like Traverse Town did in the original. Knowing that makes it obvious she'd be in there.
