    Even if the Japanese word is gender specific, it is sort of odd that only women could accept Hynes powers, and not men. Although perhaps that says more about the women in FF8 than it does about Hyne

    Warlock a scottish term as far as I know actually means Oath Breaker, in pagan religion a man who practises magic is actually still reffered to as a Witch. To call a male witch a warlock is actually considered an insult.

    Actually was curious why didn't Rinoa gets even more powerful after absorbing Adel's power? They should boost her Magic Stats or something! ;bigsmile:
