So who else here is excited about Suikoden 5 as me?
I've been playing them since the first one came out for ps1 religiously.
Final fantasy makes its way into my ps2, but suikoden will always be the defining RPG that brought me here.

Even from the trailers, this one looks to be awesome.
There were weaknesses in III, and weaknesses in IV, so hopefully they can eliminate those, but I didn't have big problems with either of those games.
Im looking forward to this one as well, I own S1, 2 and 4 and I am planning to get 3 soon. I hope they learn from there mistakes in S5, S4 wasnt terrible, but it really wasnt great either. S1 is definately where they should look at and hopefully make S5 just as great as that one.
Ive got all the Suikodens, except 4. I was very dissapointed by it. Hopefully this one will be better and getting to UK shores soon.

S2 was basically the same game as S1, just a little bit better in every single possible area. The best game in the series.
S3 was great. The best RPG out on the PS2.
S4 was...okay. Definitely disappointing considering the excellence of the past three games.
Hopefully, S5 will put the series back on track.

My only gripe is the character design, from what i`ve seen they look too oriental for my taste, it looks almost chinese..
I know Suikoden is a an old Chinese novel, maybe some of this will starting to show up in the game..

I find the game to be okay, so far. Not thrilling to the point of passing out, nor boring to the point of... passing out.
As a long time fan of the series, I am looking forward to it. Unfortunately, the main character has a terrible taste in clothing. Eww.
