Oh go on then
The last CD you bought?
The title pretty much covers it. Simply tell us the last CD you purchased, and (if you like) say what you thought of it.
I guess I'll go first. Just yesterday I brought home Elbow's Leaders of the Free World, having heard great things about the band, and having seen it cheap in a record store. I remember being vaguely aware of some Elbow songs getting radio play, but couldn't recall whether they were any good or not, so I went into the album almost blind. It turned out to be rather a disappointment, really. The album never really varies in mood or style, but without being particularly cohesive either. Most of the songs plod along at a constant pace, and the lyrics don't really do much to help the whole package either (although this might be something to do with the fact that Guy Garvey doesn't ever sound interested in what he's singing). It's not all bad (The Stops and Leaders of the Free World are decent songs) but overall I found it hard to get in to this album.
Anyway, criticism over with, now it's your turn.
"The most important and recognize player in the history of the country."
Sometimes I wonder what my life would be like if I were as great as Paulo Wanchope.
