A Colour Question!

I spell it Colour. It kinda annoys me how Americans take our language, change a few letters, and then call it their own.
"I speak AMERICAN". No, really, you don't. You speak english.

uhhhhhh Americans dont exactly "take" the language. America started from English people, so English is the native language. And, In my four years of living here, I've never heard anyone say they speak "American"

Its just my opinion.
