Thread: The Theme Song

    Default The Theme Song

I mean its getting ridiculous, every game has to have a theme song in the end credits if not in the game itself. And usually its forgettable and in japanese. The first game I remember having one was Final Fantasy 8 (not in jap) and Xenogears, and literally every rpg I've played since has had a forgettable theme in the credits, can they just not think of anything better to do or feel obligated to have one or something.

Forgettable? Usually most of the soundtrack of games with those theme songs is made up of themes that are variation of that song. And, they are made in Japan, of course the song will be in Japanese.

If theme songs started with FF8 and wern't memorable then sites like http://www.ocremix.org wouldn't exist.

Seriously, alot of people put alot of time into making remixes and rearrangements of Video Game music. Some of which are technically very accomplished. That simply wouldn't happen if there were no good video game themes out of there.

If these tunes wern't any good, there wouldn't be so many people with musical backgrounds willing to invest so much time into things like that.

I think the problem stems from
literally every rpg I've played since has had a forgettable theme in the credits
Forgettable themes for forgettable games perhaps?

Just played the first shadow hearts game, which I personally think is the best in the series and horrible underated, with great characters, great music, great story, and an incredible environment. And a forgetable japaneze sung theme in the credits, basically every rpg since ff8 like I've said has it, I can't think of one that hasn't, so no not for forgetable games.

Dude, they HAVE to have the theme-song. It gives you a sense of pride at the end.
