It seems to not want to work, have you tried blowing into the controller port to get any dust out that might interfere? If not then i think you'll have to get a new one

Are any wires poking out inbetween the two halves of the controller? because one might have been foced out and crushed the connection, that's what happneed to mine
If it's a wireless controller, they can be retarded like that sometimes.
