Anyway, the answer remains the same. Final Fantasy Tactics. Although I've high hopes for XII, since the same person did the story.
Zidane: I don't, but then again, I've never really care too much for Tactics, no offense, but the story was a bit odd and farfetch'd, I think St. Ajora was like suppose to be an evil Jesus Christ or something, and that just doesn't flow real well where I come from.Originally Posted by Behold the Void

I would say either FFVI, VIII, or X. I loved all of their stories and characters a lot ^^ I don't know what Square was thinking with IX and X2 though -_-; FFX2 was a fun game but it didn't meet the 'Final Fantasy' standards. My main problem was that Rikku and Yuna seemed to ignore all character development they had from FFX

My favorite is Final Fantasy VII.
Don't kill me over and tell me I'm a fanboy, because I HAVE beaten all of the traditional final fantasy games AND my first one was definately not FFVII.
I'm sure that if I played FF back when FFVI (as FFIII) just came out, I would have liked it better than VII because the marketing and fanboys would have ruined it for me.
Anyways, my second and third favorites are FFVI and IX.
I love all of the games,
FF7 is my favourite one.
That's all I'm saying.

FFVII fanboy: hardcore fan of FFVII, and usually only interested in anything that's involving FFVII, and the Final Fantasy games after FFVII. No interest at all in the ones before FFVII.

Well, i'm definetly not a FFVII fanboy, i just think the story and characters of FFVII's got me interested the most of 'em all. ^^

There is no such thing as the best FF ever you silly fanboys/girls. But I like 7 so far. I haven't played all FF's yet to say what's the best just what's better than the ones I've played. Once I get my hands on the rest of my collection list(Exculding FF11 and Crystal Chronicals) I'll let you know.
