Uhm... Much more popular for sure. Final Fantasy II was a step up in story and Final Fantasy III is groundbreaking for the job system. Oh, only if....

FFIII and FFV had never been released in the US, and those were the two job system games. If they had been released it would have made a huge difference and I think the newer FFs may have been different because the Job System games would have sold well and they may have made a newer one with a Job System.
