I played WAR for about 3 hours and got to lvl 9. Didn't have too much fun because I like super-fast weapons and I had a great axe equipped. Maybe my opinion will change when I get into party atmospheres.
Recently got my Kazham Airship Pass and rode an airship for the first time. Woot! Also, I've started Chains of Promathia but I have yet to actually go through and Promyvions.
You can't have an opinion on a job with only 9 levels of experience. WAR has a great DoT with dual axes at 50+, and can do some pretty good numbers on their WS's.
Yes Misfit, WAR is awesome. <3 It's a shame my end-game shell only wants me as PLD for now, but maybe by the time I get WAR up there they'll let me do stuff on it.

I got G3 done, which was actually quite easy.
Yay, now I can go to level 65 and get in that Dynamis shell. >.>
Because you defenately need to do dynamis as quick as you can. For melee, I'd defenately say you'd be better off waiting til 70+ to do dynamis, because the mobs are pretty insane.
I recently got rank 9 and am now up to the very last Windurst mission (up to the BCNM part).

Changed mains to Samurai
Got my Minstrel's Coat and Opo-Opo crown
Finished 4 suits of AF (BRD, WHM, SAM, THF)
Got my O-Hat
Killed Mysticmaker Profblix solo. 12 times. Finally got the drop.
finished Critical Hit merits
Got 1 merit in Spell Interruption-, 1 in Great Katana, 1 STR, and 3 in MP
Got BLM to 40
Got DRK to 46
RDM39 -- In a static with Shotzee (former co-worker) for one more level
Got Garuda, Ifrit, Shiva, and Ramuh...2 more to go before collecting whispers for Fenrir
Still on Sandy Mission 9-2
Still on ZM5
Still need 2 out of 3 initial Promyvions done.
