It just upsets me in retrospect because after playing FFXI so long I just figured so many things were par for the course in MMORPGs. When I played WoW, I finally realized how broken FFXI was and how lazy SE is.

I'm at a point in FFXI where it is absolutely a job to keep trying. I have so much endgame Ra/Ex gear that I'm running out of space. Any time I'd want to level a job I'd have to spend nearly an hour muling the gear over. I was at the point where I either stop leveling other jobs for fun or start being a gimp on my BRD.

While leveling may be slow on WoW as well as the levels get higher, I find the way quests work with the game to be much more friendly. You are killing two birds with one stone. You get a quest, go kill mobs for XP while doing the quest, get their drops (which are actually worth something in WoWs economy), go back to the quest giver, get MORE XP for finishing it as well as more money and sometimes some pretty decent gear. It feels like a lot of progress at once. In FFXI if you want to XP... you XP... period. You have to find a group to do so and that's frustrating if I don't have a mount of available time to play.

I think FFXI has good bones. It has a lot of things going for it, but honestly SE has shown they don't care with the impotence in which they deal with in game problems.

WoW is also a game that will be easier to enjoy with my wife. She's not too keen on giving up FFXI and her 3 75 jobs all pimped out in Relic and everything else you can imagine. She's got a lot of friends and such, but she played WoW and enjoyed it. It's so easy to get together with a significant other in the game and go accomplish things and I find that great.

I'm also gonna miss you guys. I didn't get to play with any of your but you made me feel pretty at home here on this little corner of the internet. I won't feel as involved any more and that's pretty sad. I'll try to stop in and see what everyone is managing to accomplish from time to time though ^^
