Dark Cecil? Just keep attacking, he will go down eventually.
What ever you do, don't read the battle message that tells you exactly what to do for this fight.
tut no i mean the captain person and you lie all you needed to do was keep cureing dark cecil but that captain is doing my head in it is when you go back to baron![]()
No, he censored the word "prick"Originally Posted by nik0tine

He means Baigan. And yes, all you have to do to defeat Dark Cecil is to stand there.
Anyway, with Baigan, focus your attacks on the center, not on either of his arms. Have Tellah cast his strongest spells, same with Palom. Use Porom to heal, and Cecil on occasion if you need him. Have Cecil and Yang attack.
If that still doesnt work, then fall back on the age old rule. Go level up some more. I had no problems with Baigan.
I wouldn't do that if I were you. He kind of has auto-reflect.Originally Posted by TheAbominatrix
He has auto reflect? I dont remember that. Huh. Guess Im a bit off tonight.
Well in that case, simply cast reflect on a party member and bounce all your spells off him/her.
Of course then you encounter the problem of the magic hitting the arms instead of the body...
It's not a huge problem. The arms dont give you any heavy penalties for killing them (or if they do, Ive forgotten), its just typically a waste of time to attack them.
The problem is at that point in the game, Tellah's level 3 spells are your most damaging form of attacks, but he can only cast them 3 times before he runs out of MP. If 2/3 of your magic is being waste on the arms, that means only 1 fire 3, bolt 3 etc is going to actually hit the body. It would probably be worth your while killing off both arms first with physical attacks, then reflecting magic at him before they grow back.
A good point as well, but Tellah should also know Osmose at this point... did they fix the name in this version? I'm sure they did, I just remember it as Psych in the FFIIus, and of course as Osmose in everything else. Regardless, Tellah should have it, MP shouldnt be much of an issue.
cast the strongest spell that tellah has on baigans body which will take off most of his health. he will counter with reflect so after that only use tellah to heal. i think the palom and poroms twin magic can break through his reflect and do some pretty good damage but its hard to keep the twins alive. have cecil constantly attack because his WM isnt very good. have yang attack too. if palom and poroms HP isnt high enough use normal white magic and its usually a good idea to beat one of his arms because only regrows them if they are both destroyed. this guy gave me a lot of trouble but with enough levels and curative spell he will die. if you have enough time in the battle it will be a good idea to use protect spells.the next boss is easier but it may be a good idea to save before going up to the throne room just incase the boss beats you. all you have to do is constantly cast high level lightning spells.if you can use reflect on one of your party members just reflect magic of that person and hope it hits the body of baigan because 2 level 3 fire ice or lighning spells from tellah will be enough to destroy the body.

I foun Baigan harder than Cagnazzo, as Cagnazzo died in two attacks.
That said, Baigan is still easy.
Actually, I think he casts it on himself after you hit him with some magic.Originally Posted by The Devourer Of Worlds
I usually have Tellah start off with a Lit-3 and then Baigan walls himself, and after that, just have Tellah use Bersk on Cecil, and then have him cure everyone as needed.
Palom and Porom's "Twin" is a touchy move. "Comet" is not reflected by wall, so you can use Twin and it will still hit Baigan. But you probably know that they'll cast the fire one (I think it's called "Flare") more often than Comet. And Flare is reflected by wall, so it's dangerous to use Twin on Baigan.
Agreed. Kainazzo (as I call him) was ridiculously easy because you can have Tellah use Lit-3 on him once or twice, and he'll hide in his shell. He won't even get a chance to use his wave move that he does after "gathering the water".Originally Posted by Reine
