That's so true. With most RPG's you'll just have to drop it and do something else for a little while. But with SMRPG, you just can't stop playing.Originally Posted by Trumpet Thief

This hurts me inside.
And yeah, SMRPG is my favorite game ever. I would so desire a true sequel.

I remember dropping a fairly large sum buying the game at Funco Land when I was very young.
To this day, I still consider it one of my best purchases. Funny thing is, I only recently discovered Grate Guy's Casino...
"I stand for the Motherland."
Has anyone ever got to do 100 or more Super Jumps?
I believe you get the best item in the game from that Monster City guy if you do...
Anyways my personal best was 92.
97, actually, my finger got a tick one week long.
I've actually managed to get 100 once. It took me a whole lot of tries, though. I did it on one of the Lizards in Star Hill, and it took something like 2500 dammage! O_o
Anyways... you get the Super Suit. The absolutely perfect armor. Too bad, the game was really easy even without the Super Suit, so I didn't need it at all. It's still cool to have it, though, on my "mastered" save file.
I absolutely loved this game!
It was an excellent tie of Mario and the Squaresoft RPG.
This game even featured the boss called Culex, (SPOILER) who has the Final Fantasy 2/4j Boss Battle Music and Victory Fanfare .
I was impressed with the game. There wasn't much that was too difficult about it. Honestly, the most frustrating parts of the game were not battle-related, but rather, it would be some treasure that was out of reach.
Plus, I like the interaction for using Special Attacks. In most games, spells or special attacks, you just choose them from a list, and the character executes them. In this one, almost every Special move had some way in which you could interact with the move while it was being cast (SPOILER)Especially Geno Beam
All in all, I liked this game. I'd highly recommend it for any RPG fan.
Here I go feeling old again, and I'm only 20 for god's sake. It's tough to realize that though it feels like just yesterday I was a kid playing this game, it wasn't just yesterday, and I'm not a kid anymore. Growing up sucks.Originally Posted by Trumpet Thief
Anyway, though I've never owned it, I do love this game to death. I think part of why I never bought it though was just that you could beat this game in a weekend rental without too much effort. It's low difficulty and short playtime really were it's only faults in my eyes.
Heh, I feel the same way. To most people, SMRPG is an old-school game. But I don't really look at it that way. I think of the Atari and the Coleicovision as old-school, but SNES isn't old-school. I still play mine everyday!Originally Posted by Vivi22
