Because he read it in an article and they have to know these things for when customers ask. Thats his job. He just doesnt stand round selling games all day, he needs to know whats going on and he either reads it from head office or reads it in Edge or some other game mags. All Im saying is that is what he told me 2 nights ago, he found that info out that day. So why the hell be a jerk about it?

I think many people just find it hard to accept that your boyfriend is a more reliable source of information regarding Sony, than Sony itself. Who outright denied it.

Ive been told that the PS3 wont play preowned games cause thats where Sony lose their cash. So theyre installing something that reads a game on one machine and no other. If so, then that sucks! And an advantage to Microsoft.

Update: I contacted Sony to dig up the truth on the nasty rumours contained herein. They are unfounded, as confirmed by Jennie Kong, UK PR Manager at SCEE. From Jennie:

I would like to clarify that this is false speculation and that PlayStation 3 software will not be copy protected to a single machine but will be playable on any PlayStation 3 console.

If there is a hard disc, will it be easily transportable? I like the memory cards cos you can take them to a friend's house if they have the same game and play your game there or borrow theirs. Plus the memory cards weren't included with the PS2.

Excuse me, but that is what his head office had said to the employees at the shop and thats what he had read in a computer game magazine. So my boyfriend told me. I asked here if it was true and then that link was posted after I asked that question. Im not saying Sony are liars and Im right. I asked a question, a link was posted and I simply said thats what my boyfriend told me.
