I am an Army NCO stationed in Iraq. It is funny to see the information that comes through my work area,, and then see what is on the news. That is why I don't have much faith in reporters.
I think I'll forget about getting the Adamant Armor. Besides, the Hero's Shield is good enough for me. And it's easier to get.Originally Posted by Zyrthofar

I'm still sure there's some insane person who's outfitted their Advance party with Ribbons, Hero's Shields, and Adamant Armours. Somewhere...![]()
Weren't Glass Masks better than Ribbons?Originally Posted by Zeromus_X

But yeah, it does seem pretty unlikely looking at those odds, now that I look at it..![]()
I never got one either.Originally Posted by Zeromus_X

I heard that Glass Masks also protect from status ailments and they have a higher defense stat. It's suprising I never got one despite all the Proto Phases I encountered.![]()
Then again, I always run away from those things. :rolleyes2
The Glass Helmet raises defense very high, but it doesn't raise magic defense at all or very, very little. You get them from Evil Masks.

Defense Base +30%, others 0%.
This item sets the Immune bit to 1, meaning that, for example, if you equip it along with a Dragoon Armor (sets the Fire, Ice and Lightning bits), you will be immune to those elements instead of just suffering 1/2 dmgs. This is what I call a combo item.
The Cursed Ring is also a combo item, since it sets the Absorbs bit (though it does -15 on every stats).
The way FF4 checks the elements have a bug. For example, if you have the Adamant Armor (Fire, Ice, Lit and Immune bits), and you equip the Cursed Ring (Absorbs bit), only the Immune bit is checked, instead of having Absorb x4 as it was supposed to do in that case (something like that...).
