This Tuesday, I'm flying out to New York for a few days. It's something that I've been looking forward to for months (or years, if you count a childish desire to drop a penny off the Empire State Building). It's also the furthest I've ever been from my home in London, and the first time I've ever set foot on another continent, so it's a kind of milestone for me, I suppose. It's really weird to think that once I set foot in the US, every step Westwards is a step further from home than I've ever been before. For some reason, it almost feels like an adventure, albeit an adventure with regular stops for cappucino.

Anyway, enough rambling. Time for the actual question: What's the furthest you've ever been from home?
