Not a Banana
Underground 1 and Most Wanted are definitely the best NFS games to date. Underground 2 tried so hard to be cool that it became lame.
NFSMW does get boring and formulaic though. I remember getting up to the ninth or eighth racer on the Blacklist and realising that the game wasn't getting any different. Also, the presence of a huge, explorable city in which you can drive around and find your races is redundant when you can just go to the menu and pick the event from there.
On the plus side though. I like the reintroduction of European cars into the NFS series. The Japanese imports that starred in the Underground series are awesome in their own right (Evo VIII!!) but that pimped out BMW M3 GTR is pure sex. I love the Speedbreaker too. Not original, I know, but it's executed very well. I've heard people complain about it, saying that it generates oversteer but you gotta use it right. When you Speedbreak, just tap the stick in the direction you wanna go and you'll find it's a lot easier to control that way.

NFS:MS is an alright game, but it does get very repetative. The cops are a decent addition, but can be a real pain in the arse when you get further up the black list. But having played the game everyday for about a month last September, I don't plan on playing it ever again.
