    Default Koudelka

I love this game, but I can't seem to finish it. I'm starting over again and this time I am going to finish it. I loved the parts I've played, the creepy mansion and all it's secrets! I love Koudelka and the voice overs are some of the best I've ever heard in a game. What do you think about Koudelka?

    Interesting idea.
    Bad execution.

I thought it was a fairly interesting piece of gaming, and certainly unique in it's own way. The gothic imagery presented throughtout is beautifully portrayed, but as far as gameplay goes, it was too flawed for it's own good. I am all for a challenge in a video game, but Koudelka made it so insurmountable that, like you indicated, you'll often have to start again if you don't play your cards right.

As a "prequel" (of sorts) to the Shadow Hearts series it's a fun, but deperately frustrating game. I think it's good as a diversion, but I wouldn't rate it as any sort of classic.

I agree. The battles could be so brutal.

I never played it. But I used to drool over Koudelka's CG art. It certainly looked like a good game xD

An interesting mix of RPG and horror. I was really into this game for the short time that I had it. <3

I liked the game because it was a gothic RPG and I had never played one before. The voice acting was crude, but I loved the FMVs, the battle stragey (sp) system and the plot. Plus it spanned over 4 disks. I still enjoy playing it today. And also its the first Shadow Hearts game. Koudelka appears in SH one towards the end of the game, her son stars in the game.

I never got into Koudelka, looking back, its kinda cool that this could be seen as the prequel to Shadow Hearts, but its a game that as much as I try, I get no enjoyment out of it and leave it for dust to settle....
