Did you do the pirates cave, yet? You need to do this to get the illuminated sea chart, which you need to get to Empychuu Island in the south, which you can't access yet because its surrounded by high cliffs.
So if you haven't gone to the pirate's cave, go there. Go towards Trodain in the ship, and enter the river which runs just north of the castle. Keep sailing in there until you see a bridge with a cave entrance under it.
Someone should have told you somewhere along the way about an illuminated sea chart in a pirates cave, or something of the sort.
You have to be sure to talk to EVERYBODY throughout the game, in order to get all the details, and be able to proceed through the game.
A walkthrough can be helpful, but you certainly don't need one to advance through the game. If you talk to everyone, you'll know what to do.

I'm stuck again I finally learned gow to fly but I don't know where to go I wnet to the high priest's house and saw Marcello talk to him, I wnet and spoke to the man but the preist only said good luck on your journey. What the hell now? I've been searching everywhere, but I have no clue except a writing on a wall that tells about the heirs of the 7 sages, II don't know where to go with those hints.
Go to the southern continent, near Maella Abby. Fly south from there, along the coastline, until you see a little settlement on an island with a bridge (or something of that sort). You'll learn more in there. You won't be able to land right in the settlement, instead there'll be a little trek through the woods, across a bridge, and through more woods.

so is it atop on a hill or is it flat on land?
eh.....kinda both.Originally Posted by Nick Schovitz
You may think its part of the main continent, but its separated by narrow and deep gorges. You'll also see bridges, and waterfalls. Just pay close attention to the topography as you fly down the coastline. There is a change in elevation on the island, but not much of a hill, but more of a plateau. You'll land in a valley, and will have to walk downhill a little, until you come to a bridge. Fight an enemy you can recruit for your monster team, then cross to the island. Go right, staying on that that ledge to get a chest, then go back, and over to the left. go around a clift, until you find a path through the woods that lets you go up to the plateau. Go westward, through the woods, and you'll come to a path in through some more clifts. This will be the entrance to the village. You'll learn more here.

Well, it's night now, and that woman of the fortuneteller wants to talk to me, and all the doors are locked, so if I get this key can I resume my looting of the town?

If you're in Tyran Gully, go sleep at the inn. You'll be able to get in to see her in the morning.Originally Posted by BizzerocitY

Haha, I found out that after talking to her, it was daytime, and I went around and went into every house and everything and got everything, I'm pretty sure. I don't know where to find a rusty nail or a iron dagger, or maybe I mixed those up. I just lost to the dislexic fish man, haha. He crushed me. I need to level up, I'm only level 5 for each, and with crappy equipment. Oh well. I'm just gonna level grind like anything, so.

ooooohhhhh......you're in Farebury, doing the fortune teller thing.....sorry, I thought you were nearer to the end of the game.....forget what I said about Tyran Gully, thenOriginally Posted by BizzerocitY

you need an iron nail, and a bronze dagger (or maybe you're right, it might be iron dagger) to make the theif's key.
There are treasure chests in the wild around Farebury, if you haven't found them yet. If you see the big green dragon running towards you, run away, as he's too strong for you at the moment. Go back and fight him later in your quest.

Yeah, I lost to that dragon too. In Dragon Warrior Monsters I and II Kobi and Tara's adventures, etc... it has a different name, and it was weaker. I got the treasure behind it, though. I also got cheese from the woodsman, and got all the treasure chests on that particular island, next I guess I have to go to Alexandria?

There may be treasure to the North East of Farebury, through the woods, along the cliff. Then again, that may be near Alexandria I'm thinking of.
In any case, yes, on to Alexandria.
WICKED-AWESOME SIG.
Alrighty, I'm not too far in (Alexandria) and I'm wondering if anyone has a full bestiary of the on map enemies that give out the bronze and silver coins. I looked at Gamefaqs, and I can't find them in it.
Also, do those coins have a special purpose or are they just for selling as the description elludes?
Next, about that Thief's Key, where do I get the ingredients for the key?
