My role model is myself. I try to do my best in whatever I set my mind to. I find the inspiration within myself. Sorry if that sounds completely corny and a little inappropriate, but I inspire myself to do the best I can.

This is an interesting question, because there are a lot of people whom I admire for one reason or the other out there, but most of them just cannot be taken as an example. For instance, who would take Courtney Love as a role model? Sure, she's done things I admire, but her excesses made her truly unsuitable as a model even back when I was a teenager and I needed someone to be inspired by.

I think you're missing the point slightly here Nirvana Fan.

A role model isn't somebody whose identity you emulate down to a tee. It's someone who ideals and beliefs you look up to, or a person whose personality you can relate to, or whose music, or writing, or some such, inspires you, in one fashion or another.

How does this stop you from being yourself?

And a Nirvana Fan has a point, but one doesn't need to be exactly like the people, they just inspire you.
