Jack White's new band
The Raconteurs. Jack White has finally got a proper band together and they have an album ready to go sometime in the very near future. What they've released so far reminds me a lot of some of the Pixies stuff, L7, and other softer grunge bands. Very snazzy.
Anyone heard the single/b-side they released? Any thoughts on how shockingly awesome it was?

Only heard the one song, but it's certainly better than anything Jack did on Get Behind me Satan. It's hardly surprising though, seeing as how it's Jack White and Brendan Benson in the same band. It'll probably just be a one-album side project, but it's very exciting nevertheless.

I've heard Steady As She Goes. It sounds reasonable. I wouldn't change the station if it came on, but I wouldn't bother turning the volume up either.
