The original Super Mario Bros. for the NES waay back in 1987 I think. Also, I completed Dragon Warrior and Contra around the same time; so I can't really say for sure which I finished first.

The first game I completed without cheating would probably be GTAIII for the PS2.
Probably something for the NES, either Bubble Bobble or Mega Man 2.
I would guess diamond, but it never ended.
That being said, I wuld have to go with Mario Brothers, thanks to the infinite lives tirck(s). Thnk I woulda been 6 or 7...

Metroid on the NES. Fabulous game in its day.
I was around 8 years old or so, and I had Super mario Bros, of course. It broke before I could finish it (or I broke it, or something), and upon bringing it back they let me pick whatever game I wanted to replace it. I have no idea why I picked metroid, but I was so glad I did.
Shortly after defeating Mother Brain (a most joyous moment) for the first time, I discovered she/it was a character on "Captain N: The Game Master"
The second one I ever finished may have been Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest.....but I'm not sure

Can't remember, but the first game I've ever played was Sonic The Hedgehog on the Sega Megadrive.
I do remember finishing Sonic 3 though, that might have been it.
FFIV or VI. Can't remember which one first...
