    Angry ff8 crash... (PC)

I got past the no cd error and got into the game. But when I play the game it looks like this... http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/6259/example4ak png

I can fix this problem by going to the Final Fantasy VIII Configuration then on the Graphics tab change the renderer from Direct3D Hardware Acceleration to Software Renderer. But now when I try to start the game by loading or a new game... it crashes.

I have gotten this to work but after I turned my computer back on it started to crash again. I have no real idea what I actually did to fix the problem

I have already tried installing both 1.2 patches, that didn’t work.

My only suggestion is to ditch the PC version of FFVIII. Go get yourself a PS1 if you don't have one or a PS2, and it's FFVIII game. The PC version is riddled with glitches and bugs everywhere, so you're bound to encounter problems like that constantly.

    Make sure to...

    - Update your video card drivers to the latest version.
    - Try disabling bilinear/trilinear filtering in the FF8 options (iirc, there's an option for that)
