It lost the serious discussion edge when Proto threw in the towel. That's the staff's strategy for Feedback battles: Make Proto submit, and we can all live in a spammy utopia forevermore.

Except it's not a punishment, but a mistaken occurence that shouldn't need to happen. And it's incredibly easy to fix! And the punishment is completely unrelated to the rule that was broken. It'd be like EoEO banning for double-posting in the FF7 forum.Because it's not a rule. It's an occurance. A rule is "Don't do ____". A removal of privileges is a punishment/occurance that results from breaking the rules.

It's easier to not care, though. And although it was originally unintended, it's not intended, so suck it. I don't give a damn if it's unrelated to the incident, either. It's a privilege. You lost it. We'll do whatever it takees to stop people from breaking rules, and quite frankly, the fact that you're annoyed by it only encourages me to keep such a thing in place. Sucker!
