They'd sure get top marks. <--- with their intelligence you can raise good chocobo's and winners.

With interests you'll see, <--- they're pure bird lovers. Genuine interest.
When your journey moves far, <--- these next 3 lines are in reference to chocobo's again. The journey of raising chocobo's starts when you get the highwind, and that is pretty far from the start.
You hunt for the chance, <--- you need to get the chocobo lure from choco billy in order to be able to get chocobo's
To show you're the star. <---- With Choco billy's Breeding knowledge and Choles information on which chocobo has the best stats, you'll soon be able to make a winner of the races.

With the calming surrounds, <--- nice calm place, mostly in reference to the music "Farm boy" here.
Of a real-life warm place, <-- not necessarily hot, but leading towards a farm. When breeding takes place on most farms it usually is quite warm as it's spring.
